Call the virus H1N1, not Swine Flu, a 15 year old from the Quad Cites, confirmed. President is doing all he can. Stay home if you are sick, wash hands, this may spread world wide.
It may be falll before a vacaine is ready to "test'.
I am worried too about my kids in school. They have a lot of people from Mexico in their school and you never know if them or their family members have been to Mexico recently...hopefully washing the hands will do the trick.
I am flying via the Dallas Fort Worth airport this week-end and while I'm not panicky, I have my hand sanitizer and a face mask ready to take with me. The question is..... Since Flat Randy is flying with me (in my purse) ,do you think he needs a face mask too?
I'd say just be sensible, take the usual precautions, make sure you wash your hands often, and possibly start taking vitamins. I don't really worry about it, just use common sense. Our son is flying to Italy on Sunday........no unusual precautions for him......oh yeah, I guess they DO have to take hand sanitizer along....LOL! I'm going out and buy some Eccinacia (natural herbal supplements to take ahead of time for illnesses!).....and start taking that!
think there is one here in NE yet not sure ,, media making it worse then it is I think,, if one get it then take care of yourself,, that would be the norm on any flu I think
I just hope that people in hard hit areas will wear the masks. This is going to be a mess soon. I hope that wearing a mask and "looking dorky" won't keep kids from wearing them when needed.
Personally I think all the schools should be closed early before this whole thing gets to be a mess. If the kids aren't in school, it's one less place for them to contract it. It is so close to the end of the year anyway.
If anyone has ever had a child in a school were one child had lice....it spreads like wildfire...just imagine one child with this flu..
