Oh Shuckie Darn, Where Did It Go?





I found something one of my Gather friends wrote and read it, then read the comments.  The gang of Gatherers were having a fine time bantering back and forth.





I gave it some thought, then crafted what I thought was a witty contribution.  I hit send, and...





Poof!





That's right, poof.  Oh, don't worry, my computer didn't disappear, but the post certainly did.  Or at least the message I saw said the post was unavilable.





Knowing that sometimes there are weird Gather glitches, I searched for the post and it was nowhere to be found. 





I also checked my record of comments and found that my comment had disappeared as well.





It's as if the post and my comment never existed.





Sometimes being online - and particularly on Gather - is like in the Twilight Zone.

I see that happen quite often. Usually the author removed it or Gather removed it.

Maybe the original poter deleted because someone was rude. Someone was rude to me today, but I just let it ride, and didn't stoop down.

It may have been removed by the author or Gather and just a bunch of fun can be taken a lot of different ways. What may be funny to one may be an insult to someone else. Not saying this was the case.

Always say before you post. I go in word if thing going to write anything more than few lines I would miss if they vanished. Mostly just Copy incase that happens, but Pasting and reposting makes double posts sometimes too. Slow sever, doubt it's intentional gather messing up your post. That would be bad....

Yes, this happens to me too from time to time. It is highly aggravating, and I am now in the habit of copying everything I post first.
