So, I'm sure you've seen that Tombstone has a promotion out right now where they'll pay part of your utilities based on pizza purchases. After reading about this, I bought a lot of "$2.50 off one Tombstone pizza" coupons on Ebay for $4.
Then, I found out that Tombstone's are on sale at my Kroger this week, for $3.70 each.
So, I went to Kroger last night and bought 12 pizzas for $1.20 each ($3.70-$2.50 per pizza), for a total of $14.40. Now, I can fill out the rebate form to get $10 off my cable, cell phone or utility bill. Even with my out-of-pocket cost to buy the coupons, I got 12 pizzas for 8.40, or $.70 each.
Mind you, it's going to take us a while to eat 12 pizzas, but the rebate request doesn't have to be submitted until 2/01/2010. My husband was excited, since I don't buy alot of junk food, and they'll be good to have on hand for when I've got teenagers rummaging through the cupboards or I'm tired after work.

Do you buy many coupons from eBay?
I have purchased coupons a handful of times on eBay, for things I know I'll use or for items that have a rebate. I've been pleased!
I hadn't heard about that promotion. Way too late now! I haven't had one of their pizzas in a couple years.
