Health officials believe they have identified 'patient zero' in the worldwide swine flu pandemic that has caused over 160 deaths and an estimated 1,500 illnesses. 'Patient zero' refers to the originating case, or the first person to contract the disease from which all other cases spread. In this case, 'patient zero' is a 5-year-old boy, Edgar Hernandez, from La Gloria, Veracruz, Mexico, a small rural town of 3,000. The boy's home is surrounded by pig farms, including a large U.S. owned farm - Smithfield Foods - from which the boy's mother believes he caught the virus.
Now I'm not sure how "health officials" can definitively say that this plague-like terror that has gripped the world and sent the travel industry into a tailspin over the last week started with this one kindergartener. I do believe he should probably be grounded though... and maybe even sent to bed without dessert.
The good news is that if mid-90s Dustin Hoffman movies are any indication, finding Patient Zero is the key to stopping any pandemic. In fact, if the movie is at all accurate, this whole thing should be wrapped up within the next 10-15 minutes. The other good news is that we not only save the world, but get the girl at the end too.
So thank you, Edgar, you little carrier monkey, er, pig. Whatever. I'm just glad we can put this behind us now.

I think you are being overly dramatic. Even the breathless idiots on the news are not using the word terror.
And what 'health officials" are you quoting here? The last news I heard was that the source was not identified, and the Smithfield plant is not the likely source.
For your insolence, you're banned from getting the girl when all of this is over. So there!
