silicone bulbs are regular type bulbs that are 'dipped' into silicone to make that candle flame style light. Very nice in certain lighting fixtures. Some pics of silicone bulbs I found: http://www.bulbtown.com/SILICONE_DIPPED_BULBS_s/739.htm
