CVS Clearance Sales ~ CVS Extra Bucks Make Cents ~

 CVS has some great clearance deals.  Some stores have clearance sections, some carts full, and some leave them in their place on the shelves.  Even the stores with the special places for clearance will have clearance items left in their regular shelf place.

Watch for small signs hanging among the regular items.  They tend to go in this order:

First:  "Get it while it lasts" (this means they will no longer carry it and it will be soon going on clearance).

Second:  25% off

Third:  50% off

Fourth:  75% off

They used to go to 90% but that is rare now--sometimes seasonal items will, but often they just box it all up.

So if you see a "get while it lasts" sign by an item you are interested in, but you don't want to pay full price, keep your eye on it each week as it goes lower in price--sort of like gambling:  will there be any left when it hits the price you want??  I guess we could call this the CVS clearance game.

One item I got yesterday was Life Fitness B12 Energy gum. Regular price is $2.49 but at 75% off it was $.62.  I used a $5 extra buck I had and got 8 for free.  If you are interested in this product, check by the candy or by the vitamins--my store had it both places. Only the mint and fruity ones are on clearance.

Oh, and if you don't see a clearance sign beside these just ask the cashier to scan and check the price for you if you don't have a self scanner. Often clearance signs aren't put up but the clearances seem to be nationwide.

They also usually have some type of single candy or gum clearanced.
