Thank God for Starbucks

Its hot out, its probably going to be another 80 degree day, gulp.....we complain when its colder than an ice cube out, and long for warmer weather, but now that spring is here and right now I feel like we've skipped spring and jumped into summer, the past 3 days have been into the 80s( today included), well I had to run out and get carpet cleaner to do the carpets with, on the way out of Lowes is a StarBucks coffee shop

Stop in and get a tea, no wait 2 Venti iced teas, one was half gone before I left the store, and completely gone by the first light....yeap I was sweating yeap I was and still am thirsty.

Now I am waiting for my husband to get the couch out of the living room and in the basement.........if the new furniture falls through it means he will have to bring it back up tonight but he'll get over it.

But for right now I'm thankful for Starbucks and their iced tea.........and while I was at it, I got my husband a Java Chip, he was pleasantly surprised that I took the time to surprise him.

Just the eighties?!? I was so shocked to see the thermometers hit the 90s in south central PA...in April. I remember the last few mother's days were cold enough that I had to wear pants and even wanted a sweatshirt or jacket (we go to a street fair every year for mother's day). We almost turned the AC on because it got soo stuffy later in the evenings. I was told it is supposed to get cooler the rest of the week. Hopefully.

I said the same thing about complaining yesterday. We always want what we can't have! But how can we be happy when we all want spring and all we are getting is winter or summer?

Java Chip is my favorite, though Caramel comes in a close second and they are both put on the back burner when anything mint comes along.

You're right, I also remember the days of 90 degrees days in the spring, I'm just not ready for them yet....I think I'm the person who would love weather to be in the 40s to low 70s year round, not overly hot, but good sleeping weather at night.

argh, it is still a bit cold here (live right across from Lake Michigan)...waiting for hubby to go to starbucks and drop off videos..but he is fishing...of course.
