This has been a classic North East PA week in weather! We got about an inch and a half of snow on April 20th, and flurries on the 23rd. Friday, the 24th was in the 80s! April 25th, 26th and today is in the 90s! And by Wednesday we will be back in the upper 50s again, lol. Swine flu, come and get me, lol. No really, stay away, but still, if I am not sick soon I will be shocked! And no, I don't think swine flu is funny, but this is get sick weather, and no wonder its spreading.
Anyways, on Friday, we took the dog back to the farm. I thought we were going for a short walk, but it turned into a 1.5 mile journey! Datz was dragging by the time we turned back. It didn't feel too warm to me, but I have fat to insulate me and Datz does not.
We went to a part of the farm I've never been to before. I am not even sure if its used much now for the cows. It was just a huge feild, quiet, sunny and gorgeous. I am sure also snake and tick infested lol. Gosh we can't win! We picked several ticks off Datz already. Guess its time for that lymes disease booster for him!

When we got to the end of the field, we sat for a little while in the shade to cool off. It was great for all of us to take a break. It was so warm though I felt like I was going to hurl :-(. I had taken some vicoden earlier that day for my neck and wow, it really made me sick to my tummy. But wow, my neck feels 100% better! So I guess it was an ok trade off.
After sitting for about 15 minutes, we headed back. We were all dragging. The dogs stopped a few times to sit in puddles on the way home. Then they drank from them - YUCK. Well, they're dogs I guess. We took everyone back to the main farm house where my in laws live, and I took Datz and Sparky back to the little pond there. I guess Datz was really hot, cause look what he did!
Then he drank that water too :-( LOL. Needless to say, he really needed a bath. He got one too, yesterday lol. Boy was it warm.
Well it was a lovely Friday afternoon for us, if a little warm. I ended up drinking a lot of gatorade after that long walk! But it was lovely to get outside again, to run with the dogs, to just be FREE!
I have posts regarding Saturday and Sunday too, but I am going to wait a bit to post them, get around to others first. I took about 300 pictures this weekend lol. So I hope no one gets annoyed with all the photos I am going to post!

We are back to fall here. Cold and wet!! Supposed to be that way all week.
We will probably turn to summer right away after that again!
You can't outguess the weather here in Nebraska.
Hope your neck is better.
Looks like it was a great day for a long walk... my brother, in SD told me it was 94 there on Thursday, and Saturday, he woke up to snow. Go figure... Anyway, ours has been more moderate... highs in the 80's every day, which is just fine with me! I love love love this time of year.
Stopping by from ~3,000 Here We Come!~

Nice pictures!! Your dogs look so happy, lol.
great pics and it looked like fun:)
that looks like a hayfield that has been cut. They always have to let it grow for the second cutting. Which is the best hay. My source blew away with Ike. You live to far away for me to ask where that farm was.
That looks like a beautiful place for a walk! Your dogs looked very happy.
