Deli Creations Review

I was very happy to have been chosen by Gather to try and review the Deli Creation sandwiches by Oscar Mayer.  Next fall I will have one day per week that will be exceptionally challenging to get affordable & healthy lunches for myself and my 2 children as we will have to go straight from my job to their ballet class.  I've never been good at packing lunches and they aren't usually happy with the standard PB&J! LOL

So, today I picked up the Focaccia Sandwich, Tuscan-Style chicken.  My kids ate this one but they graciously shared a bit so I could review it!  I was very impressed. The lunchmeat was great tasting, with shredded cheese to top it off. It also came with a  Roasted Red Pepper Ranch sauce that I did not put on it because I knew my kids would not eat it. However, my husband loved the sauce and it will get used at a later time. The focaccia bread was very soft both cold and after I heated it in the microwave.  One sandwich fed both of my kids and they were quite happy with it.

The other one I brought home was the Flatbread Sandwich, Steakhouse Beef with Garlic Parmesan sauce. This one came with a three cheese blend of reduced fat cheeses:  Natural Mozzarella, Provolone & Parmesan. It also had a garlic parmesan sauce.  The beef was very nice & tender. The flabread was fresh & soft.  The only thing I wasn't really crazy about was the sauce. The garlic flavor was a bit too strong for my preferences. However, I'm also a person who likes very mild flavors. My husband had a bite and he loved it.

Overall, I felt that the value was very good, with a nice variety of flavors to choose from. My store had them priced at $2.59 and they had coupons in the little dispenser for $1 off 2. So, $2 for a nice sandwich is by far less costly than eating out.
