Are you a NASCAR fan?

I do love racing. Even though the race is only a few hours away from me this week, I still have yet to go to the track. Today, I didn't even watch the race.

As the race came to a close, my husband started hollering for me to come there. He doesn't even like NASCAR, but he was switching back and forth from the motorcycle races to the NASCAR today. That is probably why I didn't get into the race today.

As I dragged my lazy behind in to see why he was hollering, I was really dreading what it was. I actually thought it might be about the motorcycles. It was actually the end of the Talladega race. It was definitely an exciting one, but not the winner I would have preferred. Yes, I am a Carl Edward's fan. I like several others too, but he holds a dear spot in my heart. He worked for awhile as a substitute teacher.

Whether you are a fan or not, I would suggest turning on the news or searching for the video of the ending of the race. It is amazing that Carl Edwards was not hurt. He even was quite gracious during an after race interview. Not sure I would have been able to even talk! Yeah, it is that dramatic.

There seems to be a few fans hurt, but not as serious as it could have been. Take a look and you will see what I mean. Even if you are not a fan of NASCAR, you will be amazed at the relatively small number of injuries.

No. I prefer Indy car racing. At least they're minority friendly, since there are three women racing in the Indy Racing League and NONE in NASCAR.

We're Nascar fans here. My husband is at work today, though, so I didn't really watch the race. We DVR'ed it. He hates it when I watch without him, because I sometimes then tell him what's going to happen. ;)

Jeff (Gordon) got knocked out early, but I kept an ear open with so many lead changes...a couple 'big ones'...and a flying finish! I like a few others and was kind of glad to see some more new blood in the winner's circle.

I watched in as it happened and we could not believe they all walked away! The winner wasn't driving for JR today, he was driving for James Finch with a Hendrick motor in his car. It was an incredible race. My driver, Greg Biffle had a good finish of 7th place. It moved it up in the standings.

I had to ask hubby who it was that he was driving for too. I was surprised to see Brad in the 09 car and knew that wasn't a Hendrick car. It's so confusing yelling for them when they change teams for a race! I'm glad there's no secret camera in my living room on race day. haha

Jodi, me too!! If there was, then someone would definitely get a show. I love racing and football. My son loves football and basketball and motorcycle racing. My oldest son is more excited about football but loves to watch most sports. Needless to say, some games can be very noisy at my house since they are fans of different teams.

Scary stuff to me.  Never been a fan of or watched anything but hockey myself, but my son and his father are faithful fans.  They go to see them sometimes.   Sure don't like to see this stuff

Love NASCAR!! I can't wait for MIS in June. This is the first year we've done pit passes. We did a garage tour last year though through the ONMC. PN
