My crabapple tree. Isn't it pretty?

I'm not a picture taker and my camera is a cheapie from Wal Mart, but my crabapple tree was so pretty when it was in bloom two weeks ago that I just had to share a picture of it.  These trees make tiny red crabapples that are ripe for picking in the Fall.  They are very sour, but they make excellent jelly that is sweetened with lots of sugar. LOL  These trees also spread by creating new trees that come up from the roots so maintenace is aggravating and I've threatened to take them out, but whenever they bloom every Spring the maintenance makes keeping the trees worthwhile.

Isn't it pretty?

Lee that is so beautiful! I love crabapples when they come out in full bloom. I'm waiting on ours...it is always so gorgeous. What I don't like is all the little crabapples that fall all over the ground. Our tree was so heavy with crabapples last year that we lost 3 large limbs. They busted right off.

We had one in our backyard when I was growing up. I always wished it was an edible apple tree, lol!

We had one of those trees in our yard in the house I lived in when I was in high school. There's nothing prettier in bloom in the spring! You did a good job with the photo.
