And I can't be there because I am sick. I have a nasty cough and I have been running a fever since Friday. I didn't take the antibiotics they gave me before the egg retrieval last week (shame shame) because I really didn't think I would need them. I don't want to take the chance of my surrogate getting sick. I am going to go by her house later today to drop off a gift I bought her but I am not going in.
Tuesday morning I had to be at the hospital at 8AM. They put me under and took 10 eggs while my husband made his "deposit" in a cup in the next room. I was back at home by 11 AM, they gave me a prescription for pain meds and I slept all day. Wednesday I was in pain and vomiting. Thursday it was better and Friday I got sick.
We got the call Wednesday morning that all 10 eggs fertilized! They are transfering 2. They are also supposed to give us a picture of the embryos today too. I am really excited to see what they look like. I couldn't sleep last night, I just prayed all night. Please send "sticky" vibes my way! We want the embryos to stick and develop. The next 2 weeks of waiting are going to be so hard!
