What is a Lemurian?

Lemurians are depicted in ancient hieroglyphic figures as having one eye, this third eye is now called the pineal gland. They communicated by telepathy and sound vibration, their form being both male and female (hermaphrodite).  They reproduced by laying eggs.  Experimentation led to the development of separate male and female and they were always seeking the other half. 

Lemurians descended  to a lower consciousness on Earth to experience physical reality.  They were in the area of the Pacific Ocean, some say they were also near the Indian Ocean.  Lemuria, Like Atlantis, sank into the sea during a pole shift 24,000 B.C. but still exists in the 5th dimension.  Most returned but some remained in the form of dolphins.

They too are associated with pyramids which seem to have a connection to spaceship landings.

The Island of Hawaii is the tip of the highest mountain peak that was once the continent of Lemuria. It sank in a castostrophic volcanic eruption possably over 26,000 yeras ago.

It was where one species of Lemur dominated, and possably that Lemur was us (a species of ape). It had a population of 65 million of which about percent survived probably because they left to South and Central America, before the destructive event.

The legends of it, and it's peoples eventually devolved into the mystical and magical stories we have today, much like those of Atlantis, which suffered the same fate some 15,000 years ago.

Easter Island, Tahiti, Samoas, Cook, Tongus, Marshall, Gilbert, Caroline, Mariannas, Marquesas and the Hawaiian Islands all stand as pathetic fingers to a once proud continent.

Barb, the proof is in the hieroglyphics, by the way, some of them had eyes on the back of their heads. I suppose this is what happens when species evolve:)

Thank you Elena, yes those civilizations were advanced and had knowledge we do not possess.

We are nearing another pole shift and then our civilization will be discussed, our lifestyle will probably be hard to believe also. It really isn't that difficult, our DNA has been modified and it has taken 250,000 years for change.

It was also referred to the Land of Mu (pronounced moo) meaning Mother, or Motherland. It may corespond to Elena's, Mukalia, she mentioned in her comment.

I wonder if the hiroglypics depicting Lemurians as having an eye in the front and one in the back of their heads is possably symbolically discriptive of a trait in this particular species of Lemur, pertaining to their great ability, or protensity toward forsight, and hindsight? Just a question.

In literature (or pulp fiction, if you prefer) weren't Lemurians From the Age of Conan the Barbarian?

Dorothy, certainly the Lemurians had psychic abilities but records also show lizard and bird people. It could be explained that they could fly therefore a bird but what about a reptilian, what would that suggest? It is like the movie Star Wars with all different species. There are also hieroglyphics showing helicopters and planes that we are familiar with now.

Edgar Cayce predicted that we would locate lost records from the ocean and some say the Vatican has records that have been withheld.

Bill's Spirit, there are many stories and I believe the concept was used in comic books and games bringing the barbarians into play.

Interesting info! Makes me want to read the books you guys have read!

Wondering, though, why Tonga is written Tongus up above. Slip of the fingers?

Can you guys cite the places you get this info so the rest of us can find it too? I've always been fond of Polynesia, having been part of a Samoan family and then Tongan. I'd love to see how some of this interesects with some of the legends I learned from other family members.

Jessie, I believe you are correct it is Tonga. Jurpe mentioned crystals which would relate to Mt. Shasta California which is known as a place where Newagers go for channeling, meditation and crystal healing.

Jesse, Most of the online stuff is full of the hocus pocus mystical, magical, stuff. I read books from the library years ago, written in 1930's, by a man (whose name I don't recall, unfortunately). His investigations included none of the mystical legends, and magical thinking. He focussed on the historical evidence, and archiology. He also decoded a lot of those ancient hieroglpics etc...


Now, I'm curious as to whether I can maybe find something concerning him and his work online.

Gotta go and research, now.

The crystals have properties that enhance power, but it's not that mystic stuff. It's like crystal radios and radio waves, or lasers etc...

Sylvia Browne has done some writings on the Lemurians. She also says that they were a peaceful people while the people of Atlantis were not so nice. Both were far more advanced than we were, but even with all their technology, mother nature still got 'em.
