Around noon, we were cleaning up the house, and yard, when the storm clouds rolled in. We had been planning to take the kids to Dairy Queen for helping, but the clouds made it apparent that we'd probably want to drive. Because of that, I opted to take the kids to the other ice cream stand in town, locally owned Tasty Twist.
They have a MUCH larger menu than DQ, and are priced about the same, but they're about 1.5 miles further away, so walks and bike rides don't happen often. If we were all to ride bikes, it would be fine. But if we were walking, the kids would get grouchy, I think. Though, I do plan to try it at least once this spring with them!
We ate outside, because it was getting oppressively humid by then, but no rain yet. It would have been just horrible eating in the car. We left at a good time- 10 minutes later, the rain hit HARD!

Here Dad, try mine!

Wow, is he going gray... ;)

Private Selection from Kroger is the best! Breyers is too sweet for me (taste like a generic sweet) and Private Selection taste naturally flavored.
