Tired of being single, for once I would love to have a boyfriend

I know people say oh your single you should be happy, live it up. But how can you when you have always been or for the most part been single. I am always told that I make a great girlfriend, now mind you that is by my ex's, who for certain reason we are not together, but still awesome friends. As well I am told the same thing by my guy friends, who mind you are in great relationships with someone else.

 

I am almost 29 years old, and would love to be in a relationship. You notice I did not say anything about the type of relationship. I did that since I know any and all relationship have their ups and downs. No relationship no matter how it appears is perfect. I just would love to find a guy who appreciates me for me, yes with all my quirks and imperfections. I would love to be with a guy who actually has his head on straight, meet too many weirdos in my time, and sadly I have dated even a few, and oh they know who they are, but at least I can still be friends with them.

 

I just am tired of every weekend sitting at home and doing nothing. I would so love to go out and experience things with a guy, someone who makes me laugh and can show me a good time. I am not high maintenance at all. I think half my problem is I am too much one of the guys. I have always been seen as the friend not the girlfriend.

 

Anyone know any good single guys who would not mind possibly going out on a date with me?

I think I got lucky and found my soulmate, though I'm slightly used and tarnished he took me for a test drive and we've been together ever since. Are you out and about, getting involved in various activities--try volunterring where you'll meet people who care, or join a theater group, go to lectures on subjects you find interesting, and get yourself involved with your community--before you know it you will have a whole bunch of new friends who just might lead you to a new friend.

I have a single son, who will be 27 this year, and has never been married. He feels the same way you do. Except he likes to make people laugh. He has a very good job, but he travels alot. He says he wants to find somebody, he wants to settle down. If interested email me.

I so completely know exactly what you mean and you sound to have the exact same problem that's always plagued me! Just the little I've seen of you and the way you write I have absolutely no doubt that someone is not going to believe how completely blessed they have been when they meet, appreciate and become close to you, grateful for such a lovely person to be in their life! You kind of know that too, you've heard it before and it sure don't help when you're wide awake at 4 am with no one in sight I know. Even at my age and knowing better for me, historically it very much doesn't work for me and my 'picker' is obviously completely defective and untrustworthy as each and every time I commit to the completely wrong for me kind of person! Too many bad experiences and I don't feel like I even have the energy to try anymore while at the same time having no doubt I'll do it again anyway cause I just can't help myself. You've been wise, much wiser than me in your youth by not married and had children with someone completely innappropriate and that is undoutably going to work in your favor! Join some groups or become involved in activities you enjoy and trust me, they will spot you and thank there lucky stars that not every single good one is taken after all!!
