Late for the beach!

Let's get going here. It's an unusually nice Spring day for April. One of those that's terrible for doing chores! Got some nice early morning photos posted for your enjoyment. My enjoyment was being outside in the warm air taking them. Then wanted to toss some rugs in ye olde wringer washer and get them outside to solar dry. The weather is supposed to change later to cloudy with rains, then a drop in temp for the upcoming week. UGH.

 

So what better event now than to kick off the shoes, pack a small cooler, and hit the BEACH! Remember that drive? This is my kind of chore.

I'm going to a small local zoo with Kim M. and Trevor M. today. I have been wanting to go and today is the perfect day to do it.

Enjoy the beach! I'm doing chores but it's not warm here so I don't feel too bad about it. :) Plus, my kiddos are sick so we're just kinda hangning around. They're watching tv while I wash sheets. We'll heat up some homemade chicken soup for lunch in a bit too.

We just came home from the beach. Just a quick trip. I wanted to check on the bird houses and see what the baby birds looked like this week, but the park rangers screwed all the doors shut, which is actually a good idea. We can't have the baby birds falling out and getting injured or worse. The water was about mid 60's today and some fool hardy people were actually swimming! The azaleas blooms are on their last leg and everything is lush and green. What a beautiful day, already 76 degrees.

Now that it's sunny and 80, I'm stuck inside and can't get out. Maybe the change in weather is making it too painful to walk.

Thanks for your comments. 60's water will do for now. We have people splashing in the 40's. There is ALWAYS time for the beach ....... it takes top priority over anything else. Don't want Rob's leg getting rusty. All I can offer is a cyber visit.

We are killing ourselves getting all that mulch out of the driveway. It is really kicking my butt and showing me I should have been exercising all winter even when I was sick. Work today and tomorrow a Communion. So it is a busy weekend. I had to come in and rest before I passed out, lol.
