That was one of the comments on my post about All Things Are Possible With God and it's a good issue that needs to be addressed. There are a lot of ways to go about this but I'm going to deal with it from the aspect I feel God is telling me to help the most people.
I think that the reason it is sometimes hard to trust God is because of lies we've been told by well meaning people who were lied to by someone else. The biggest lie is that God is mad at you or us. God is not mad at anyone no matter what they've done. He took care of that issue when Jesus went to the cross and rose again. Jesus paid the price for all sin for all time. As far as God is concerned, that is a non-issue.
God has done all He is going to do about sin. It's now up to us to receive His plan of salvation. God is not going to force anyone to receive salvation. It's their choice. It hurts Him when someone refuses it but He respects their decision. After all, God doesn't want robots or slaves, He wants children who love Him and He loves us enough to be willing to accept our rejection of Him.
But getting back to the trust issue. If you believe that God is mad at you, it's much harder to trust Him to do good for you. God is not mad at you even when you blow it. His Word says that, as a Christian, all we have to do is repent, which means to turn from your former ways and choose to do things His way. It is not about saying you're sorry. That is only part of it. If all you do is say you are sorry knowing that you intend to go right on doing things the way you always have, you haven't repented. You're just sorry that things didn't go the way you wanted them to and you're apologizing to hopefully appeal to God's sympathy. Forget it! God doesn't deal like that. Never has and never will.
God looks at your heart and if you aren't truly repentant, He knows it. You can't fool God. He knew who you are and what you think before you think it. As Kenneth Copeland says, when you confessed your sin is not when God found out about it. Get real. God knows and sees everything you do and think.
Satan on the other hand cannot read your mind. He can only go by your words and your actions. He doesn't react to what you mean, he reacts to what you say and do.
Getting back to the subject. If you have been afraid God will not do something for you because He's mad or disappointed with you, stop thinking that way. God loves you 24/7 no matter what you do or don't do. Even when you blow it, He knows your heart.
As I said, all you have to do is repent and He is just and faithful to forgive you and cleanse you of all the junk sin caused. He wants you to come to Him like a small child comes to a loving, gentle father. He wants you to boldly ask for what you need and expect Him to answer and provide.
If you are a parent, don't you try to provide everything your child needs? Do you get mad at them when they ask for something they need? I don't think so. Well, we learn that behavior and attitude from God. He is the most generous, loving, compassionate father you will ever know. You just have to choose to see Him that way.
Having had a father who was abusive during most of my childhood, it took me a long time to get past a lot of the imagaes I had of a father. I was fortunate in the fact that God introduced Himself to me as a very, very small child and when my earthly father started to hit me, God told me that it wasn't my fault and this wasn't normal or His will.
So, I understand if some of you have issues because of your earthly fathers. That's one of the reasons God gave us the Bible so we could get to know Him. Unfortunately, most people who read the Bible are just reading it like a normal book and it's not. The Words actually have power to bring themselves to pass when we stand on the promises in the Word. But it takes a relationship with God to experience that supernatural part.
I just want you to know that, as one who has experienced the supernatural over and over again, I can tell you that developing the relationship I have with God and His Son and the Holy Spirit through the Word is well worth anything I may have sacrificed.
I have to stop...have a blessed day!

Now i read your article thorolly,
i do believe in god but the things dont turn in the way i want. So once i had stopped trusting him but after someimes i thought he is like father as you said. I hope one day he will fulfill my wishes and turns everything allright.
Though your god and my god are different i also have faith in bible and i do respect and we should not read it like other books.
Thnx for the lovely post...
If we were allowed a clear understanding of The Christ, none could comprehend, but rather would continue creating ideals He never claimed.
