I saw a couple of comments about my dachshund Sausage that I had growing up and his cute name and I wanted to follow up a little because there's a theme!
I have had 3 more dachshunds as a grown up (2 I still have) I don't have a picture of the third but he still fits in.
So, my first Dachshund was a boy we named Sausage
Later when I was on my own I got another dog at the pound. A female mini-Dachshund that we named Vienna
After that we got a male mini-dachshund/chihuahua mix which we obviously named Chorizo Unfortunately he got out of the yard and someone kept him :-( (He was also a pound puppy)
And last year we got our most recent addition who, at 35 pounds, can only be described as a maxi-dachshund. We wanted to name him in line with the others but he already had a name that fit him so well. He's Joey but we call him Joey Linguica or Joey the Sausage because he just has an old mob guy look to him. Again from the pound, we were in love when we saw him sigh and waddle up to the bars like "Are you really gonna make me walk that far and play cute? Do you know how much work that is?" That's when we realized he was one of us.
So we have Vienna and Joey. One is twitchy and skeletal and tiny at under 10 pounds (We often question her use of drugs) and the other big and lazy and fat (Or as my husband likes to call him "fat-a@@" I guess better the dog than me--that might be unhealthy for hubby!) Sorry for the repeat pics but I wanted them all together.

My best friend had a doxie growing up. Her name was Tootsie, because her sister said she looked just like a tootsie roll. She was colored a lot like your Joey.
