I do not know what kind of owl this is, but it is interesting and beautiful.  Because it is so beautiful I made it my icon.

Hard to tell cause the photo isn't in focus. It may be a Barred Owl. They're big and fluffy like that.

I totally agree with Kelly... Don't you just LOVE owls? We have a mated pair of Great Horned Owls that I was lucky enough to get a shot of one the other day...

Owls got their reputation for being "wise" from their association with the Greek goddess Athena who was the goddess of wisdom.
