myFave Five for Thursday 042209 ~ Seattle Picnic Parks
Welcome members of myFaves Group and anyone who happens upon myrandom list! Today is National Picnic Day and so I'll share some of the best picnic parks in Seattle. The next time you travel here, please check out these fun spots.

- Carl S. English, Jr. Botanical Gardenat the Ballard Locks. Eat in the garden, listen to concerts during the summer, watch the boats go in and out of the ship canal.
- Rose Gardenat the Woodland Park Zoo. The garden is just outside the southern zoo entrance and filled with heady perfumes throughout summer and early autumn.
- Botanic Gardensat the Washington Park Arboretum. So many great spots. Be sure to check out the tea house when it is open to watch tea ceremonies.
- The beach at Golden Gardens Park. A great place to sit on the sand, have a bonfire, and fly kites.
- Picnic area at Seward Park. A great Lake Washington park with lots of activities, picnic areas, and playgrounds

Where will you have a picnic?
