My daughters and I were discussing fads and fashion one night when they decided to play a strange game. They found an online yearbook of my graduating class and began browsing through the photos. Little did I know there were setting me up for a game they called "mom's geeky friends". Finally they summoned me over to the computer where the picture on screen looked way too familiar.
Was I ever really that young and innocent looking?
The girls then proceeded to point out photos to me and ask if I had known the person. When I would answer in the affirmative they would check their list to see if they had declared the person a geek or not. Their theory was that all the people I knew were geeks. Of course many of them where since I hung out with people who belonged to the Drama Club. Hmmm Drama Club could be the name for a new Gather group! Sorry I do tend to go off on tangents. Other than my artistic friends I also associated with teens that were very interested in plants. Those friends also became artistic but usually that happened after playing with their plants. Looking at my picture I have to say looks can be very deceiving.
All is fair in love and war so I decided that since my senior picture was going to be in this post then so was theirs.
My beautiful daughters....they drive me crazy and I would
not change it for anything.

Then we get in our sixties and look back and are amazed at how good we looked. Funny how time changes our perception.

I lost my senior pictures in a house fire many years ago. This is the first time I thought maybe that was a good thing.

I get stuff from my kids all of the time for my yearbook pics too......
Speaking of continuity, I found a few of my dresses and sweaters from about 1980. My daughter seized them eagerly. They fit her perfectly and are in style again. I wish I had saved more of my clothes.
My son took possesion of some of my 60's and 70's vinyl records. What goes around, comes around, I guess. This time, it's amusing.
