I haven't been reading or writing much lately. Today it's actually a little painful to type. I can't sleep, things going on that are upsetting me. Anyway, I found this, something I wrote a while back. I hope you all like it. I go back to the doctors in about a week and will know more then.
Did you ever want to go
go running, jumping, go crazy
warm sandlewood, Coltrane, Frangelica nights
the word hello was poured in my ear
husky and enticing, draws you in, a wisp of soft spring air
a dream of a dream of a dream
a role not yet lived
I knew you once in my mind's eye
we ran on the white sands
the day much like that day, a blustery one
telling the gulls stories
and singing them songs
life as we knew it long ago and far away
our dreams ran along beside us as children might
enjoying the frivolity of the day
a touch, a look, the sweet sound of the sax
never questioning life as we knew it could be
brings this place of pure contentment
a place where joy is always known
love is not a commodity to be brokered
I wake up and the mist has risen
yet still see our dream place in my mind's eye
perhaps one day, one glorious day
when the sparrow sings her song
I will join you there

telling the gulls stories
and singing them songs". I can feel the wind and smell the salt air. This piece reminds me of my stay in San Fransisco a few years ago.
Wishing you happiness, Dana

Ok, I was asked to come and say something here. I have read over the poem and the comments three or four times now. I like the poem and the way it makes me feel and I am wondering who the heck wrote it. I am not being funny or sarcastic. Your comments are superlative and I am humbled by all of them. I always think it odd that I am so often found at a loss for words. I am at a loss for words. Thank you all!
You are just "gifted" to the maximum extent Chana!
HUGS ~ WE LOVE YOU!
