Since I doubt I will be here for the chat, I will go ahead and answer. Personally, I like any and all food (almost). However, if I had to choose one thing it would be angel food cake topped with strawberries (fresh if possible) and cool whip.

Food itself is a comfort tool for me. I think that's why so many people, including myself, find it hard to lose and keep off excess weight. My favorite treats include mozzarella cheese sticks, Hershey chocolate, and ice cream.

What is your favorite comfort food?
Chips Ahoy Soft Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies.

and Why? Do I really have to explain why? Chocolate, cookies are soft and melt in your mouth. That with a tall glass of Dr. Pepper soda. Just enough sugar to get the real rush, but not to send you the hospital for a coronary. ~ HA~ HA~

Homemade soups and Mac N Cheese were old time, economical favorites when I was a child and it carried on for years. Growing a garden was always in my life and nothing better than make homemade soup from it. It stretched for 9 children and 2 adults.

Hello everyone!

It's so difficult to choose just one comfort food, but if I'm feeling blue and under the weather, I love to have a hot bowl of udon in the winter.

In the summer, I'd have have to say, a good bowl of chocolate ice cream!

I have a few comfort foods but I think if I could only choose one it would be Macaroni Soup. She uses elbow macaroni, whole canned tomatoes and ground beef. After it is all ready she added uncooked macaroni to the soup for added crunchiness. I grew up eating it so it always makes me feel good to have some now.

But I can't make it way my mom did. It's always better when she makes it! I've tried to re-create it without success. That probably makes it that much better for me. Not only does it bring back pleasant memories that I can't quite place, but my kids will eat it so I don't have to hear complaints when I make it for them! That is a BIG plus.

When I was pregnant with my first son, I was 3000+ miles from my Mom. My "comfort foods" then were the foods I remembered her indulging in when I lived at home.... frozen Snicker bars, spumante ice cream, etc.

My favorite comfort food is home made chicken soup. This is what my mom always made when one of us kids were sick. So on bad days, I like to make my own chicken soup, sit back and think of my mom and days gone by. That gives me comfort and the strength to carry on no matter how hard things get.

My favorite comfort food is homemade mashed potatoes with the pandrippings from roast chicken on top. Totally too heavy on the fat content, but when I am feeling miserable or sick, this is guaranteed to make the world a better place. I even save the drippings in a little container in the freezer for comfort emergencies!

When I feel like it, I can also crave bananas.
Either by themselves or sliced up for cereal.

I like peanut butter cookies. We like to visit Subway during the last 2 hours they are open and get the cookies that are left at a price of 2 for $.25. They hardly ever have chocolate chip left, but they usually have some peanut butter and oatmeal left.

Soups got to be the healthiest and economical, too. I can't make a small batch of soup or chili. Break out those huge pots!

Any other time, I really love sour candy.
Lemon heads used to be my absolute favorite thing to eat as a kid.
My daddy would buy as sweets at least once a week as a child.
And, I would always insist that he throw in my favorite sour treats as well!

I DO have ONE healthy comfort food, but it's so hard to find. I really love a FRESH tomato, one that smells of the vine and still feels warm from the sun. When I find that, NOTHING can make me unhappy.
