I just thought of an idea....

What about having something that tells us when our friends or people are online?

Not sure if its possible, but it would be kinda neat!

Great idea. I am on another board and they have a list showing which friends or on and which are off. I know at least by looking at your friends' list you can see who signed in last--they will be first on your list.

I would think it would be very simple to have a tiny icon by your picture if you are logged on. Of course if this option were made available members should also be able to opt out.

Only if there is on option to turn it off. Sometimes I like to just read and not have a bunch of people emailing or pinging me. I like my privacy too.

Sound like what they have on Myspace. I think it would be a good idea. And to add to that maybe a feature that allows you to turn it off, if you don't want anyone to know.
