With much help from Kevin ("SiteWizard") V. [if he had a brick for every word he typed in answer to my many questions he could build his own CVS] and my computer literate daughter, I finally got it together, well, it is now public at least.
My goal is to have a friendly group with a professional look where members can come to learn, to share and to discuss the joys and trials of shopping at CVS. I have been using their Extra Buck and reward card program along with coupons & sales for sometime now and am able to keep my family well stocked with health and beauty items, many cleaning supplies and even some food for pennies on the dollar or most often free. I also have an abundance to donate to area charities.
In these hard financial times I would like to take this opportunity to share what I know and ask others to help me continue to learn "CVSing." So if you have a CVS near you and are interested in saving money come visit my new group. AND if you have any tips to share please come by and tell us! The group will be moderated to assure the posts stay on topic so it will be easy to find the information you need to utilize the Extra Buck program to its fullest.
Please be patient with me in the beginning as I am still pretty new to Gather and totally new to owning a group.

Visit "CVS Extra Bucks Make Cents" for CVS deals and happenings.

I'm heading over to join. I am just getting started with the rebate-type programs offered by CVS, RiteAid and Walgreens.
I bet it took some time to get all that deleted.
I like CVS best because it is all instant--makes it easier on me.
I love the CVS bucks!
Also, thanks for all your help! I'm glad we can learn some things "toGather" ;-)
C.L.R. I think you are doing a terrific job. I may not be using the information yet, but am learning a lot from you. Thanks for starting the group.
Thank you, I wish I was able to share so much more. I am hoping others will start sharing more so everyone benefits more.
Keep reading and when you are ready to dive in you will be already "thinking" the CVS way.
I would love to join. I love going to CVS and see how much I can get free or just about free after extra bucks and coupons.
Great, Madeline, I'd love to have you. With your experience you can help all of us do our best.
Congratulations on the group!!
I had a prescription filled at CVS yesterday. I cant find the one dollar extra bucks I thought I should have gotten, dont get alarmed. I need to check again and see if I looked in the right area.
My daughter went by and picked me up a sale paper. The milk is $2.69 with card. So if I can find that dollar buck I can get a gallon of milk super cheap.
The bucks for the prescriptions print quarterly, not daily. You will get $2 for every two prescriptions--you have to use your card or give the phone number linked to the card to get credit. So you aren't missing it you just haven't gotten it yet. Since it is $2 per 2 prescriptions, you may not get one on one, you may have to buy two within the period to receive any. Does that make sense?? I'm off to CVS.com to see if I can tell when the next quarterly bucks will print.
But you are exactly right--you want to use just like you said--if you had it today you could use it on that milk. It is fun once they start coming.
Okay here is the link about the promotion. It says it runs thru 6/15/09 and the bucks will print 7/1 or after--whenever you shop. You can also print them online if your card is registered.
Oh, so you know, your coupons and extra bucks will print at the bottom of your receipt below the totals.
My daughter did scan her card, while she was there and bring me a coupon for $1 off a package of CVS paper towels. I do have manufacturers coupons for for M&M's Plus they are on the extra bucks list. I think my chocolate lover will like that.
Oh, I wish you were close by. I have 4 m&m coupons that expire this week I'd love to give you. If you have a chocolate lover you will love CVS--they have chocolate deals very often and with manufacturer's coupons we have gotten a lot of free chocolate--we share it with the children's programs at our church.
I have heard the CVS paper towels are a great price with that coupon--I have never gotten the coupon. You can check the date it expires and watch and see if they happen to go on sale before it expires, too, to make it even a better deal.
You will need to use that coupon with the card that was used when it printed or you can give the phone number that is linked to the card. Each card can only use the coupons printed for it.
I love your new group. Thanks a million.
Thanks!! If you have any questions just ask it, I'd love to help you get started when you want to.
We swiped our own card this last time and got another coupon for the paper towels. i will have to study this even more. By the Way, I left you some dishes to wash at the cafe. Plus a message, that you can advertize if you get behind the counter. LOL.
I got the message, but walked right by the dishes:) I'll be right back over to get them cleaned up before your late afternoon crowd stops in.
Oh, and I'm glad you got the paper towel coupon--should be a good price on picking up a pack.
ty
