In Launceston, Tasmania there is a park with a little Japanese garden.

There were lovely little moments of serenity to be found there.



And the company of a plant that became a favorite during my trip - the tree fern.



It was a calming spot, one that I can now revisit in my mind's eye and soak in the tranquility.

Behind my Aunt Anita's house, there is an area where the ferns grow as thick and as tall as those pictured here... The air seems thicker and quieter there and the sun is filtered thru the leaves... I still remember the green moist scent of that place. There's nothing else like it.
