The only times I ever removed my ring were when I was an engineer working around live electrical circuits. I had a good friend lose a finger when his ring made contact with a hot point.

i don't wear my ring at home either. i have always felt the same way, that it "crowded" my hand. i always wear it when i go out though.

When I get home, it goes off, I don't like wearing my jewerly when I'm home. I don't won't it to get wet, when I'm out and I wash my hands, it goes off then until my hands are dry and lotioned.

I hardly wear mine. It catches on stuff too much in my job. I only wear it when I go out.

I take mine off when using chemicals, or putting on hand cream. I don't wear my engagement ring tho unless we are goign some where high falutten!!!

Mine varies. I take it off when typing a lot becuase it seems to interfere. I also take it off when exercising.

I don't wear a ring. I lost my ring in a snowball fight many years ago..... we never replaced it.... maybe some day we will... but not wearing a ring hasn't had any impact on my marriage... so no hurry!

my husband has been dead for 14 years and i am still wearing the wedding ring
he put it on my finger
and i cant replace that part
so i leave it on
i would feel naked without them

I take mine off when making meatloaf or pie crust (I am very hands on when I am cooking). Other than that they stay on.

I stopped wearing rings I had a Claddagh ring catch on a baker's rack and it broke the band and bent the crown backwards. Not married and the only engagement ring I liked was a pearl with diamaond baguettes, to which both the man and jeweler said wasn't a good choice because stone it too fragile....oh well....no wonder I stopped dating him.

My mom almost lost diamond to her engagement ring when the stetting broke.

Don't think it matters is wear it or not, a band on your finger doesn't equal commitment.

I never take mine off, because I don't need to. I don't have my hands in stuff, and it's very comfortable, and it fits like a dream.

I had to take mine off when I had surgery 9 years ago. I had gained weight and almost did not get the ring off. They would have cut it off me before the surgery if I had not finally gotten it off. I have not been able to get the ring back on since that time. Someday I hope to lose weight and to be able to wear it again. I thought about buying another larger ring, but it does not bother my husband that I am not wearing the wedding ring.

I used to wear my all the time, only taking it off when I went to bed. But then my fingers got larger and I can't get it on and can't afford to get it resized so for the past year or so I haven't worn it at all. At some point I need to get it resized! Although it doesn't really bother me not to wear it and my husband doesn't care -- we both know we're married :-)

The only time I take mine off is when I am making meatloaf (yes, I wash my hands before I mess with the concoction) and when I put hand lotion on. My ring has 22 small diamonds that tend to get messy when I put lotion on. Oh, I do take it off to clean it.
