The scroll was sealed seven times, tied with ribbons and closed.
“Can they open it?” John pointed to the twenty-four who stood around the throne. But they were only human. The seals told a story that would hurt too much for them.
“Can they?” John pointed to the creatures of the earth. But the hurts of the scroll weren’t their fault or theirs to undo.
“Can they?” He pointed to the angels. But they belonged to heaven, not earth, and this wasn’t their tale.
“Well, what about him?” Then the lamb that was slain stepped forward to open the scroll.
