I've posted a few already as single photos, but here's the rundown of all of the eggs I dyed this year!
I really love coloring eggs; I think it's such a neat art process. (And one you don't do too often!) I try and get really creative with it.
I'd never actually hard-boiled eggs before. I know it's not supposed to be a complicated process, but I didn't really trust my abilities, and since friends were coming over to dye eggs too, I labelled them with a warning...

I also had peeps and candy ;)
Then we got to dying!
I like mixing colors around, I got some good results playing with yellows and greens...

And some nice ones with pinks and oranges.

We also had some other kinds of kits. One was a sponge-painting kit, so I made a rainbow egg.

I also dyed an egg then spongepainted it to try and make 'traditional' sort of patterns...

Then there were some experiments with multi-colored dyed eggs. My rainbow egg came out quite successfully!

I also made one with just the 'cooler' colors... and it had a crack, which ended up looking really neat!

I tried, towards the end of the night, putting a spongepainted on into the dye. It made the paint run, which turned the dye green instead of yellow, but the egg got a really cool tye-dye look!

I also had gotten a kit with "gold dust" to apply to the eggs. It made for some pretty results!

This green one had gotten weird in the dye, but with a coating of gold, it looked really cool...

It was a great night. I ended up going to bed without cleaning up the dye cups... and in the morning, I had a surprise. I'd forgotten to take an egg out of the blue! It ended up a super dark color from being in the dye overnight.

I would say that it was my most successful year for dying eggs; I ended up with a lot of really pretty ones! (Granted, I gave them all to my mom since I don't eat hardboiled eggs... but she really liked them, too!)
