April is Garden Month

I've read several times lately that more and more people are investing in gardening this year as one means of living frugally and in the interest of saving money on groceries. My daughter is taking Master Gardening classes, and it was mentioned in her class on the first day.

I used to have a large 1-acre garden in which my kids and I worked together. I found a garden to be an inestimable tool for learning and self image for children. Nothing is so self-assuring as to see the work of your hands grow and thrive! I can't tell you how many pleasurable hours we spent in the garden together and all the learning transpiring there. We have a lot of good memories.

So looking around for resources on the internet, I came across quite a few websites that will help you and your children to garden. Most of these websites are geared for children, although I find that information quite useful for beginners (and yes, the experienced) among the adults too!
