Tiny treasures I found in my yard over the weekend.
Buttercup.
Vinca.
Oxalis.
Viola.
The tiny little flower of the Lady Banks Rose vine.

Why do you build me up (Build me up)
Buttercup baby just to
let me down (Let me down)
And mess me around
And then worst of all (Worst of all)
You never call baby
When you say you will (Say you will)
But I love you still
I need you (I need you)
More than anyone darlin'
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (Build me up)
Buttercup
Don't break my heart
"Buttercup, buttercup, my sweet little buttercup...."
Lovely floral montage.
It's still so cold here that nothing is coming up yet. I wonder if my bulbs think we're in nuclear winter.
Your photos give me hope that Spring is indeed coming!
Dang Kerry, winter needs to move on out already!
~Featured Post ~
Kim, our spring has been really back and forth with the weather too. 40 one day and high 70's the next. We're supposed to have a nice weekend too, I hope they're right because we're planning on taking the boat out!
Sorry Sue B. Its been very cool in the evenings here and today the high is aroucn 60 but the wind is really whipping so it feels cooler.
Ghostly, that vine should be covered with those tiny roses by now. I haven't had much luck with it since I planted it about 4 years ago. I think that may be the only bloom we get out of it this year. I don't think its happy where I planted it.
I've missed conversing with you lately but between working my arse off, taking care of stuff around here, and then resting my weary bones there's not much time left to chat. And then you're busy on the week ends.
Maybe at the end of May when I take vacation. I'd like to go away but there's too much to do around here. Maybe I can get caught up a tad in a week's time. lol
Yea, kids don't do stuff like that anymore, work I mean. Hell, if they do they want to do things like wash your car for $100 bucks. Pffft
Its supposed to be 88 degrees here both Saturday and Sunday! Nothing like jumping right into summer! We're planning on taking the boat out of course, hopefully it won't be windy.
John's hours have been cut drastically...I sure hope things pick up soon, he's getting bored. Luckily he's had a few side jobs though..better money than the real job anyway.
Thanks.
These are really great macros, Moggy! I especially like the third one down. Oxalis I think you called it, which I have never heard of. Of course I am not a flower savvy person. LOL
Thanks Victoria, Oxalis are technically wild flowers. These came from a lady who dug them up a few years back up in the mountains of N.C. Native flowers are great because they don't need any special attention and can thrive in our clay soil.
purdy pictures *chuckle*
Thanks for stopping by.
~wink~
purdy colors, purdy flowers....
nice captures..........
thanks,..........
: )
They do offer you some very nice color in the yard.
I don't know if we're going to have a winter yet this year either. It has been getting warmer winters, and cooler summers around here. LOL
