Okay folks... I finally got it completed. I have been longing for a way to group my posts so they would be easier for me to find and others as well. I also wanted to do it so I could utilize those groups for future contests and give-a-ways.
For now...as mentioned in a previous post; I have had to place a lot of things on hold until I can find steady work. But I wanted to take this time to get myself ready until I am able to get back into Gather in full-swing.
With that being said... Recently when Gather made their last few updates, or it was when I first noticed it, which ever came first. LOL I noticed to the right of our post lists...there is a section that lists our most popular tags. Well...I decided to take advantage of this feature. I decided to list my posts within those tags that would describe "somewhat" what each of my posts were about. Since only 20 tags were available, I tried to come up with creative titles to place each post in. Now these tags might not make it easy to find some of my posts, but I wanted a way to group my posts, more than for others to find what I had written. That's just me. That's the way I wanted it. Others would prefer to do it the other way.
Needless to say that this was a lot of work; going back and changing everyone of my tags in each post. All 980 of them. LOL I have barely made a crack in my over 3000 photos that I have posted. But they did give us the ability to group our photos. But I have so many of them that it will take me some time to get them completed. A very long time! LOL
Another neat feature that I did noticed is that when you bring up each tag, there is a header that has a place for similar photos and videos to coincide with the topic of that tag, so you can view photos and videos within that topic as well. But as mentioned...that will be a long time in coming before I can get all those photos categorized like that...
For the time being I am happy with the work that I have completed. Future posts will be easy to categorize now.
One more neat thing that I noticed as well...is that within each category the page numbers are clickable so you don't have to go through page after page, like you do with the original post lists. Plus...with them categorized the way that I have done it, you can find my older posts easier. In the beginning of my Gather days, I was posting so fast that many of you missed those posts, plus some of you didn't know me back then and you can now view some of my old stuff quite easier, without having to go through 49 pages of posts! LOL
Now I am going to be crossing my fingers that Gather won't do something funky in the next upgrade that will negate all my hard work. Because that in itself will be a real drag to say the least. A major bummer for sure!!! LOL But for now...I am happy with my results.
One final note...I may have miss-categorized a couple of my posts because I was trying to get this done in a fairly quick manner, so you may see a few posts change categories from time to time, if I think it fits best in another category. And sometime in the future, I also plan on changing some of the category names to be a little more creative and fun. Which means I will have to go back and change the tags to fit the category, but it will be easier to do now that they are already grouped together.
I really could have used a couple more categories, so I had to group some of my topics together under a creative heading. However, I am thrilled to at least have the twenty to work with for now.
So if you want...take a few minutes and brows my categories below. More than likely you will find some stuff you never had a chance to read and of course these categories will always be on the post page to the right if you want to come back and view some more. Unless of course Gather decides to change things. LOL Which I am praying they won't for a while anyway. LOL

I doubt I'll ever get to that point. How's it working since the latest upgrade?
It is still doing well. The upgrades haven't affected it as of yet...anyway. LOL
