MY son lost his Gameboy, bummer!

My son left his Gameboy in the shopping cart at Safeway. We went right back and it was already gone and no one turned it in. Were so bummed. I got it last year by earning on sites and getting Amazon gift cards. So I'm stepping it up and gonna spend alot of time earning so I can get him another one. Well actually I think I'm gonna get a Nintendo DS. Here on Gather I'm 345 points away from a $25 cash out so I'm gonna get a Amazon card. Wish me luck.

Our daughter left hers in a motel once, we called them within an hour, they went and looked and housekeeping had already been there and it was gone, never did recover it.

Several family members have lost cameras and phones lately. My daughter was at a party with a group of friends and had her Blackberry and camera taken from her purse. It's getting bad.

Its one reason I won't let my kids take GameBoys in places like that, they have to stay in the car locked up.

I am so sorry that happened. I totally understand how that is. I went with my grandparents to the lake one day and had taken my gameboy to make the loooong ride more bareable. I shoved under my seat while we actually spent time at the lake. When we came back someone had broken into the van and stole my dad and grandpa's credit cards and bank cards, and my gameboy too. Worse still my grandparent's insurance would only cover the stuff if they paid like 2,000 dollars up front. Which is more than all the stuff was worth so they wouldn't do it. I don't have a gameboy right now. But, my grandma keeps saying that she will buy the same edition for my daughter. Haha.

Things like that don't need to be taken into stores. It is almost a given that such things will be lost or stolen, which is why they are best left at home or, at the very least, in the auto.

I need to let my 7 year old read this. He always gets mad when I wont let him take his.
I never allow my kids to take thing like that in a store. Heck, they loose a dollar bill. There is no way something that pricey will go in a store.

Oh bummer. I won a Nintendo DS on Spotwinner last October and gave it to my oldest daughter for Christmas. Now I've been saving up and saving up and got one for my youngest for her Birthday next month. I'm tired of them fighting over it! You might be able to get a used one cheap soon - now that the new DSi came out.

If you're willing to earn the points again, he should be willing to do enough chores equivalent to the same. People who have to work for something have more respect than when its always free. Remember when we used to take the time to engrave names on personal property?

it is sad that no one returned it to the service counter, but he should have taken better care of it. I make my daughter leave stuff like that at home.
