Why am I not still sleeping?

My inlaws were nice enough to take the kids over night.  My question to myself is why am I not still sleeping.  I know I am tried, but for some reason I still woke up at normal time and kept waiting to hear the kids.

 

On the plus side Don and I actually had a lot of fun last night at the Parents night out.  I learned alot about my new borad postion.  I am getting really nervous, but I do believe i will be okay. So how was your night???

I know the feeling - even when the kids are away for the night, you are still on "mommy mode" :)

My kids are at their Nana and Papa's too. My husband and I stayed up late and watched the movie "Fireproof." All I can say is that the movie was excellent.

Someday you will no longer be in "mommy" mode and will find other things to rob you of sleep. For some of us there is no good answer. Enjoy your time alone. It's so infrequent when the kids are little,(under 21).
