 Pros:

• It really does help relieve allergy symptoms; non drowsy

Cons:

•  kiddo not crazy about the taste
• Since Children's Claritin is supposed to last for 24 hours so you're only supposed to take one dose a day. I can't honestly say we found Children's Claritin to work for the entire 24 hours. Usually a few hours before it was time for the next dose, my grandaughter's 's allergies symptoms were back; granted, not as bad as they would have been without Children's Claritin, but still obvious to where she needed to take something for them. Overall, that's really not too shabby for a 24 hour medication.

Directions on box:

Adults and children 6 years and over: Chew 2 tablets daily; not more than 2 tablets in 24 hours. Children 2 to under 6 years of age: Chew 1 tablet daily; not more than 1 tablet in 24 hours. Children under 2 years of age: Ask a doctor. Consumers with liver or kidney disease: Ask a doctor.

Warnings on box:

Phenylketonurics: contains phenylalanine 1.4 mg per tablet. Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients. Ask a doctor before use if you have liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should determine if you need a different dose. When using this product do not take more than directed. Taking more than directed may cause drowsiness. Stop use and ask a doctor if an allergic reaction to this product occurs. Seek medical help right away. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

For me this is a great product for seasonal allergies. It has cut down on my  grandaughter's runny nose and itchy eyes. I do recommend Children's Claritin for children who suffer from allergies. It really does help my grandaughter get through the worst weeks of the year without having to deal with her allergy symptoms getting out of control. Children's Claritin is a real life saver for us! But be forewarned it does not last the entire 24 hours they claim.
