Days 1 and 2 of our journey to Florida

We left our house yesterday evening at 7pm and we were making such great time, that we decided to drive all the way to Orlando today.  Normally, we would stay in the Savannah, Georgia area in a hotel; however, we felt as though we would just drive all the way today so there would be no driving tomorrow.  We are staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton tonight, but tomorrow, we will check into our condo at Sheraton Vistana Villages.

Upon entering South Carolina today, we of course had to stop into "South of the Border."  I know that place is beyond cheesy, but the kids love it and it really makes for some good photo opportunities.  Here are the pictures I took there today.  Should I mention that we all love trying on the various funny hats there?? There is also a picture of Bailey wearing the funniest pair of glasses ever!

Hmmm, no clouds in sight, but Maddie wanted to be prepared and she wanted to be able to see if there were any clouds!

Crocodile ride anyone?? It was kind of funny--Maddie was a bit scared of this fake croc. Usually she is fearless, but she was very hesitant, as you can tell by her face.

A picture of Logan and Carter in the living room chair in the suite we are staying in tonight. Kids sure do make themselves at home!

I will post more pictures as my vacation goes on. Tomorrow, we are picking my mother up at the airport, checking into our condo, grocery shopping, and souvenier shopping at the outlets.
