When I realized I had 25 different bird type photos from just the last 4 months, I thought I better limit myself in what I share or else this article would never finish loading. I have included a few of the more interesting shots from 2008 as well.
I'll start with the oldest photos and work forward to this week. My photo essay begins with a baby robin that had fallen from its nest in the back garden area of one of my favorite area stores.
During the summer last year a fellow geocacher brought his homing pigeons to an event and let us release them. This little one wanted to stick around versus flying home.

It's hard to get good lighting at my birdfeeder.

But I do get a variety of bird visitors.

Sometimes it's easier to take photos of other people's feeders.

Birds rarely will stick around and pose, but once and awhile they do.

here, an egret allows me to watch it's preening routine.

The beach birds are fun to watch.

Above a Heron enjoys the late day sun in Murrells Inlet, SC and below a different Heron shows that people don't phase him at a Marietta, Georgia pond.

Eventhough mocking birds are not a very nice species (to other birds), I love to listen to them rattle off 20 dfifferent bird calls in a row.

I remember how excited I was to finally get a decent photo of a bluebird.

This nuthatch was checking out the local real estate.

A sure sign of Spring is when you see the robins around.

This guy wouldn't look at me.

This quail was seen recently at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I love the noises he made.

The rest of the photos were taken this week while I was in South Carolina. This goose was sitting on her nest.

These gulls were being chased by the duck and also another goose.

This mocking bird was thinking he needed to wet his whistle outside a bar in Little River.

And finally, an egret decides that eating was more important than worrying about the crazy lady with the camera.

Hope you enjoyed looking at some of my bird photos.

Love the bar shot - that's too funny:)
Not so long ago, I would have found this boring, but I've really become a bird lover in recent years, and this was really delightful...
