I'm just curious to know how loyal people are who keep singing Obama's praises? For some people, he seems to be able to do no wrong. The other day, I saw a posting on here to shut up about the taxes and quit whining and just pay them.
So, are we supposed to just bury our heads in the sand and blindly follow this man? I don't think so! This man talked about change for two years before he got elected and the only change I've seen is that he's spending more of my money and the next few generations' money. Where is this money supposed to come from if Obama and his cronies keep making government bigger and downsizing the business world?
Do any of you who support this man know how to balance a check book or balance the books of a company? If so, how can you stand by this? Debt is never a good thing, especially the kind of debt this country and the other countries of the world are now facing because of living beyond our means.
I got an email earlier today with photos from the Chicago Tea Party on Wednesday. When I get home, I can download the photos and put them on Gather so you can see them. But one of the signs said "Socialism: Tax Dollars At Work For Those Who Don't!" and another said, "I Listed The Federal Government As A Dependent On My Taxes This Year!" I think I want to do the latter!
From what I've been told, these tea parties are becoming bi-partisan because so many people are really sick of all that is going on. One of the signs read, "I'm Only Two And I'm Already In Debt!" held by a mother with her two-year old in her arms. How sad is it that the children who've just been born are already in debt for the U.S. before they can even walk?
Something is terribly wrong with this picture!
If you think the economy is turning around, let me tell you that on my way home every day, I count the number of empty stores from businesses that have gone out of business or have downsized to smaller locations. In one block there are six empty stores for lease. That's approximately half of the stores available for lease in that block.
I've lived in Los Angeles for 25 years and every day I see another business that has closed its doors because they can't survive the economy and the taxes being put on them. It is so sad because there are so many people who naively think that if we just pay a little more taxes, everything will be alright. But if they are foolishly spending those taxes, which they are, eventually everything will collapse if the American people don't start speaking up and using their votes to kick these idiots out of office as soon as possible.
Obama pledged to uphold the Constitution of the United States when he took office but he's done more as a sitting President to undo the Constitution than uphold it than any other President in history. I don't really believe this man loves this country or he wouldn't be making some of the foolhearty decisions he is making that will impact all of us for years to come.
I do know that I'm praying for him to have his eyes opened to what he is doing and what is really best for this country. He needs all the prayer he can get!

Then I saw a CNN reporter harass a demonstrator with a small child and then blame the participants in the protest for having a bad attitude.
What is going on here? For the first time in my long life, I'm afraid for this country. I think we should have those demonstrations at least on a monthly basis. If we do, it will grow. Maybe then Nancy Pelosi will not be able to call us "astroturf."
A lot of people are angry, and rightfully so. We are not right wing fanatics!
ASTROTURF is the collective of what it became after the 'grass roots' movement was handed over and allowed to be co-opted by Fox news and their band of merry men and woman. The unfortunate teabag theme and even the 2M4M fiasco could have been avoided entirely had FOX really had your interests at heart and not been going for the easy ratings and publicity that was inevitable!
Now lets move on to another of your comment I am hearing more and more of his detractors say.
Your words:
"Obama pledged to uphold the Constitution of the United States when he took office but he's done more as a sitting President to undo the Constitution than uphold it than any other President in history. I don't really believe this man loves this country or he wouldn't be making he wouldn't be making some of the fool hearty decisions he is making that will impact all of us for years to come."
You have the gall to say Obama is not upholding the constitution after all the blasphemous action of Bush? Where did you live these past eight years? Some how you can ignore all the times Bush people failed to appear for legally issued subpoenas before congress, exposing an undercover international worker and a host of other sleazy operations yet you claim Obama is not following the constitution. Your accusations and incorrect assessments are whole sale right wing hog wash. I had hoped by now at least one of Obama's opposing folks would have made an intelligent plea for something different to be done.
Just like the others I find your comments to be shallow and full of right wing rhetoric as apposed to intelligent and sound discourse. Your eyes and hears must be fixated on a predetermined belief and thought process. All this rhetoric about foolish spending and having this country in extreme debt has no effect as long as you have the ability to ignore as some had said that Bush's over spending was not too bad. If you give just a little bit of real thought to what you and others are saying you might realize Obama is not the cause of all those stores you mentioned to be closed and they certainly have not closed due to any tax increases.
What make it so difficult for you and others to formulate in your minds that just maybe this man has a better idea than some others. While you are screaming about debt, which you say is never a good thing, you totally ignore the possibility that if you allow the president to help pump back up these various institutions and get our economics working again and your precious stores open again people will have more jobs which will stir the economy. If as so many of you seem to feel we just sit and wait for wall street, other major industries, financial institutions and others eventually make a come back how long do you feel that will take if at all? I have yet to hear any intelligent response to that question. What I continuously hear is that he is wasting our money which takes me right back to your first sentence. It ain't about me seeing no wrong what Obama does its about you not seeing nor giving him an opportunity to do anything right.
And for your information I too see some things I do not agree with but I refuse to toss the baby out with the bath water as many of you seem to prefer in the infancy of this presidency. The only thing which makes sense to me in seeing such nonsensical reactions is that you have fallen prey to the FOX News propaganda machines which are constantly tossing less than important issues for you to grab like a bone while making sure you ignore the real important issues this country faces. You ignore the real issues like health care, education, the environment and others yet, you get all bent out of shape about gun control. Your over broad statements tell me the issues you mention have not been thoroughly seated in your minds.
NOW, you're afraid? WHERE have you been?
Then there was that whole Katrina thing....(NO, we are NOT the same people)
First you don't know my thinking as I have not stated exactly how I think or went in detail of my thinking when it comes to politics. So don't assume.
Obama has made it clear that in order to bring the debt down we will go in more debt first. People need to give him time to see if he can actually do what what he plans on doing.
I wish to know why people think Obama can just snap his finger and things will magiclly happen.
I believe we can thank Mr. Limpball for that...
We want politicians who follow our founding documents. We want fiscal conservatives. It is never right or wise to try to spend yourself out of debt. It doesn't work at home, in business or in the government. It also does nothing to try to equalize people by taking everything those at the top worked their butts off for and giving it to those who did not. What does work is giving everyone equal footing to succeed or not on their own.
We need to stop bailing our failing businessor or individuals. We need to stop spending money we don't have. And we need to stop thinking that it's right to take so much money from those who have been successful...and nothing from 40% of Americans.
At our Cincinnati Tea Party, we talked about how much better it would be if EVERY working American was expected to pay at least $100 in income taxes...instead of getting back 2, 3, 4 times more money than they ever paid in.

One thing that really ticks me off.....
I don't believe in abortion. Why is part of my tax money going to be sent to other countries to help THEM pay for abortions?
That sounds like taxation without representation to me.
Why is it ok for the liberals to demonstrate all over the place for their beliefs, but when conservatives stage peaceful demonstrations against unfair taxes those same liberals call us "teabaggers" and tell us to "quit whining and pay our taxes"?
Tell you what, when all the members of the cabinet and all the presidential appointees start paying their fair share without cheating, then I will pay mine without whining.
And by the way, I think that conservatives have the same right to demonstrate that the liberals do.
I also think America IS a Christian nation. (Or at least it was.)
Obama ... um ... well, he was less than truthful when he did that.
Since on and /or before 2001 - and forward? he has bemoaned the "essential constraints" to government power found in the Constitution. And has on occasion entertained ways of getting around those "essential constraints."
A Constitutional scholar? I think so.
A Defender of that same Constitution?
I do not think so.
Breaking Free from the Constitution
"Mr. Obama’s comments take a turn from discussing the historical record. Unprovoked he laments that the Supreme Court “could not break free from the essential constraints placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution.” He further describes the Constitution as “a charter of negative liberties.” This is at odds with the preamble to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights."
"Obama pledged to uphold the Constitution of the United States when he took office but he's done more as a sitting President to undo the Constitution than uphold it than any other President in history. I don't really believe this man loves this country or he wouldn't be making some of the foolhearty decisions he is making that will impact all of us for years to come."
I agree this country is in big trouble.and the Obama backers are still puting the blame on Bush. They need to look at the changes Obama promised. They Are not the changes we need. We are going to lose the U S A as we know it.And it will be Obama doing it not Bush.

Gee, mini, just because Bush got us in some debt does that mean it is OK for Obama to get us into monstrous debt. If it wasn't OK for Bush, then it is not OK for Obama. The convoluted thinking of some people drives me crazy. How do they think getting us into more and more debt will get us out of any debt. Obama has been in office long enough to put my grandchildren in debt. Bush never did that.

At least, as you say, the reference to drinking the koolaid has a somewhat valid link to the situation it refers to. There is valid reference for the use of it to describe what 'one side' thinks of the 'other side' (whether either 'side' thinks it's true or not).
But, never never never under any circumstances (as I'm sure we are all painfully aware by now) never ask the reference for the term libs use to refer to those of us who actually attented a TEA party. Having to do with the tea bags.
What I'm getting at is look at the heart and character behind what libs use as 'tags' and the 'tag' of "koolaid drinker."
The kool aid 'tag' refers to a horrible actual event that came about because people simply believed what they were told; and when they no longer believed it they still went along to their and their family's deaths.
The teabag** reference? Refers to an act as base as the minds and hearts which conceived it; as base as the character and morality that teaches it's actually appropriate to voice; that it's valid, and descriptive of TEA party goers. +shrug+ The "reference" here has no basis in reality and doesn't have any valid footing in fact for being used as a descriptive. It is simply, like so much that comes from libs, just intended as an insult; intended to bring down each of us in a personal, derogatory, and overly nasty way.
I agree with your article. The other day I made reference to "keep drinking the Kool-aid" and the guy had the nerve to write me and say I didnt leave a reference for that remark. That the only person he knows who uses that saying is Bill O'reilly. HELLO that reference is to Reverend Jim Jones in Jonestown south africa. I hate when people just got into politics with Obama and think everything revolves around the last election. The focus should be on the future and what we can do. Not what he she or whoever should have done.

Sadly, what you describe is truth no matter what invective libs use to describe the attendees.
Why is it ok for the liberals to demonstrate all over the place for their beliefs, but when conservatives stage peaceful demonstrations against unfair taxes those same liberals call us "teabaggers" and tell us to "quit whining and pay our taxes"?
