I don't know if they will do that any more with the new pay pal changes, it would be really cool if they did though. It happened shortly after I joined last year, so it was in May or June.
I doubt if it will be done anymore now that Gather has added albums for pictures. It makes things too easy to flood the site with photos 40 at a time compared to the past. They'll be handing out too many points/cash/gift cards the way publishing photos is now.
Last year it was for one week from June 6th - 12th! then they announced a one day extension " ending June 13th at midnight In 2007 from May 25th through Thursday, May 31st, I think there may have also been an extension
I did very well tast year when they gave us trible points. Gather only does that when they feel like it and the triple points only last for a weeh or so. It was a busy time
hopefully never I had never seen so many useless photos posted in my life(50 shots of the same thing is an outrage!), it was horrible last year. gather went silent because everyone was busy uploading
Last year it was in June and then the summer pics promo was in Aug-Sept. I agree with Angela though. So many stupid photos were posted. It was very annoying. I posted photos for the summer pics promo but they were all nice, decent photos. Not all were up to my normal standards but I didn't post crap either. And I hated all the crap that was posted.
There is no set time- when Gather decides to have a promo, they announce it, usually a bit quietly. Quite often, people just catch on by what they see others doing.

I really could use the triple points again... Especially getting hit hard with the recession, and the fact I am graduating in a couple weeks... well 4 weeks as of yesterday with my Associates and I have bills up the reend and I might be taking out my first official college loan this upcoming year. Any and all money will help me so much.
