I have terrible heartburn- so bad that I have to take prescription strength medication to get it under any sort of control, and even then I have to watch what I eat or I get "breakthrough" heartburn.
My husband, is an extreme example of the typical gassy husband. He's so bad that I've even asked our doctor (we have the same one) whether I should be worried about it. There are times that I swear his body is digesting itself, because he litterally smells like he is decaying. Eating a diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables, while better for him, makes the gas way worse!
If this book has even one tip that would help either one of us it would be a godsend.
My dad! My father had an appendectomy when he was a young teenager and about 16 years ago he had is gallbladder removed. Before his gallbladder was removed he suffered from near constant indigestion, and removing it helped a lot. However, he still has indigestion very frequently and takes a daily OTC acid reducer to assist. As I have tried to explain many times in the past, eating a different or enhanced variety of foods would be a great way to reduce his indigestion. He may still need to take his OTC pill, but he may never have to take this pill and still have indigestion again. My dad basically eats the same diet he always has, which isn't the healthiest and I doubt that would ever change. He could add in a few extra foods though to help promote easier digestion.
Me, I have been so sick and I know its food related
and I would love to try something to make my life better
and to know the answers of why i am not well
resolved to lose about 90 - 120 lbs this year. He has already lost 46 lbs
and he has found counting calories, using a diary and keeping t he fat
content under 30% to be the best for him. But he, my sister and I are
all working on getting weight healthy and bodies to where we need to
be. My sister is in her 40's, I'm 51 and my husband is turning 60 this
year.
I know my kiddos and i would benefit from a better digestive system. My son suffers diarrhea often cuz he eats alot of junk. It would be great to show my kids recipes to eat to have a good digestive health. I would enjoy the chance to share it with my kiddos.
I would benefit, as am having a challenging time eating right and would like to know what foods would help digestive health. This sounds like a great book.
This would be a book that I would actually read and use the information given to make certain parts of life a little easier for myself and many people in my family.
I would love to read this book and try anything they recommend, then write a review.
Definitely my husband, he eats way to fast and I think it did not help his waistline either. Couple that with his hypoglycemia problems; his overeating and poor digesative health causes a spike in his blood sugar levels and this puts him at risk. I would love that my husband not only reads this book but puts it into practice. I would love to get the recipes and straight forward advice to help him stay motivated, eating well and being healthy.
So I would really benefit from better digestive health.
Thanks
Not to be selfish, but I would. I have had stomach and digestive problems since I was a teen. I had a major problem a month ago and only recently did I get it under control with ginger. I am also trying the Activia yogurt to see if it can help at all. The book sounds like a good source of information on keeping my digestive tract healthy.
That would be me between I.B.S. the 11 ulcers in my esophagus Arthritis and acid reflux It is just what I need!!
They have been trying every diet and if it helps one it hurts another
Lance I am trying the activia my self!
I would be honored to be picked as one to try this~jules
Great give-away though :)
I would benefit the most from this book as I have my own digestive issues that I sure would love to work on! Especially with all of the travelling that I do~
I've been looking for a way to identify the culprits and not only will I read the book, I will do the four week regimen to improve my digestive health.
I already know I am the one with the problem and I would certainly benefit greatly from this book:)
Now my husband could benefit, because he seems to be the one with the digestive issues. He also had the high bp and cholestrol and really needs to get both under control through diet and exercise.
I am trying to lose weight now that I’m feeling better. I’m a year out of chemo and have been plagued with stiff joints and creaky knobby knees. I have an interest in nutrition and I think the honor of reviewing a nutrition book will put me on the straight and narrow when it comes to assessing my diet and embarking on a new way of thinking about food. Further, I review books all the time and know that what most readers want from a diet book is pertinent information (as in if I eat this it tend to make me feel this way) also easy to follow instructions as to recipes with ingredients that are easy to find in their local store.
My 14 year old son-he has had constipation problems since day 1 and we have tried everything to get him regular! This book could help me learn more and help him out!
I have many health issues and am under alot of stress. I have ulcers and acid reflux, too in combination with my other health issues. I am always searching to get help to eliminate these without having to take more meds on top of what I take now.
I would love to read and review this book.
I breastfeed my son, and I believe that dairy inmy diet is affecting him, so just over the weekend I have stopped eating any dairy products to see if that my help, since I suspect he has silent reflux and we have an appt this week with his dr, in which I plan on bringing this up. But since I have read that cutting out dairy can help I am doing this, and would love to find other ways to make my diet heathier.
I would definitely benefit from this book. I get heartburn daily, have gas, bloating, and many more symptoms. I know some of the foods that trigger these symptoms, but not many. I would love to know what does and how to control or even get rid of all these.
My son has celiac disease, an intolerance to gluten. He was diagnosed just about a year ago, and the only treatment is a completely gluten free diet. It can take up to two years to repair the intestines, and he needs to keep his digestive system healthy, not only while he heals, but forever, because the disease can only be managed, not cured.
My daughter could use a healthier digestive regiman, as she is a journalism student, works part time and is developing her online writing career. Sometimes she gets a bad stomach, etc, from eating fast foods.
My husband is susceptible to high cholesterol and high blood pressure. A healthy digestive system is essential in controlling cholesterol.
And I am a firm believer that a healthy diet is the first step to a healthy life, that no matter how many vitamins or supplements you take, they won't do you much good if your diet is full of fat, salt and additives.
