Last week Survivor featured no Tribal Council yet the most strategy in a long time. Tonight that strategy continued, but this time the Exile alliance finally came into the mix. The night following Joe’s evacuation the group was rather quite. Coach, being the person who has to do everything, broke that silence by telling one of the craziest stories ever heard on TV. Supposedly only three people have “heard” the story before, but now 10 million have. And I bet nobody in this world believes it. The story goes like this. Coach was dropped into the Amazon by the military, for free. He was then captured by natives, beaten and before almost dieing he escaped and paddled to safety. Um it’s pretty hard to believe and I mean it COULD be true. But I have a feeling it’s only true in one place… Coach’s head.
The next morning the Coach show continued as another crazy moment happened. He was doing his ancient yoga yet again and editors just had to mix it to birds flying. It was fun to watch, but Jesus that guy is crazy! Back up at camp Brandon felt safe while JT realized he felt safe. That made JT want him out even more, but not more then Coach. He now believes he holds the power in the game and wants to slay the head of the dragon: Brendon. Oh he also wants to take out Sierra, who is the poop from the dragon. So apparently Sierra is Brendon’s “bowl movement”. Good thing I ate a few ours ago. Back over to JT we saw him and Erinn fishing. She revealed how she was close to Joe, and felt closer to the old Jalapao then her old tribe. That gave JT an in to her vote, but Erinn still wanted to wait it out and remain neutral as long as she could.
At their first merged reward challenge the group broke up into three groups of three. Their reward was right up Coach’s ally: white water rafting with a picnic. What they had to do was break tiles of the other teams, the team with their tile broken last would go on the trip and send one person to Exile. The teams ended up as: Red: Tyson/Coach/Taj, White: Sierra/Erin/Stephen and Black: Brendan/Debbie/JT. Most went towards the black team first as it was “stacked”. But the red ended up being knocked out first, since Coach wanted to go on the rafting ride, for obvious reasons. With the white and black team down to only one tile each, it took several rounds before a winner was claimed. Brendan broke the last white tile, sending his team to the reward and sending Stephen back to Exile.
At Exile Stephen was worried as he had yet to start a fire on his own. After two hours he finally got one started though, making him feel like he just gave birth. The next day it was time for Brendan, Debbie and JT to have their white water rafting excursion. They all had a blast and during their trip, Brendan realized that he wanted JT to win the game if he couldn’t. That led the two to talk and form a new alliance, another one that JT is involved in. Brendan said he would get JT to the finals, simply because he’s a good guy. It isn’t like Brendan needs the money anyway. The next morning, back at camp Brendan woke up and pulled Sierra aside. He told her that he wanted to restart the Exile alliance with JT added in. She bad mouthed JT first, but then Sierra loved him. She was on board, now all he needed was Taj. For the first time since the merge Taj and Brendan talked. She was shocked how old Timberia now wants to vote out people from their own group and made a great observation. Jalapao really didn’t have to do anything coming in since Timberia basically self destructed.
It was then time for the immunity challenge were the survivors had to manoeuvre through a course while being connected to a rope. They had to go around several obstacles and the first three to pass the first round made it to the final. JT, Tyson, Sierra and Brendan were out in the front but thanks to throwing themselves over the bars, Tyson, JT and Brendan made it to the final round. The three then competed in another rope course, this time a vertical one. It came down to Tyson and Brendan, but yet again Tyson beat everyone out and claimed the idol for himself. Could he be the new idol hog?
Back at camp everyone tried to congratulate Stephen for starting a fire on Exile but Tyson jumped in, making sure everyone was voting the same as last week. They all did, but quickly got quiet as they didn’t know why he was doing it there and then. Brendan then pulled his new alliance together, getting Stephen/JT and Sierra to sit down and talk. They all agreed to being together and wanted to vote out Coach. Stephen and JT then went to talk alone and agreed that Brendan’s offer was good and did believe that Coach could be crazy, and a liar. While JT felt he had all the power, Coach/Brendan thought the same. Old Timberia got back together, for a bit, to discuss JT going and after all agreeing it was obvious they were all playing each other.
At Tribal Council Jeff brought up who was the best at camp fire stories. Of course they said Coach and Taj mentioned how it was just so hard to believe. Jeff pushed Coach further about the truth of his stories and he took it even further. I don’t feel like even thinking about what they brought up, and I have a feeling the FCC won’t even like what he said. Talk then turned to Exile island and how Tyson thinks that everyone who went to Exile has the idol. Jeff then went around, asking if anyone had it. Brendan spoke up and basically screamed about having the idol. It was then time to vote and once Jeff got the urn it was time for faces to drop. Coach got the first two votes and then it was all about Brendan and Sierra. It came down to one vote with Brendan, and his idol, going home to the jury. He was completely stunned to go so early and it mimics last season’s strongest, and richest, player joining the jury first. Next week seems to be all about Sierra and if she can stay she’ll prove she has a chance at winning.
