I'm so excited for you! When I've planted things from seed, I am so silly about them... I've had to check on them every hour, at times. No such goings-on the past few years, but looking at these have me thinking about it again. :)
Ah, life surfaces once more! I've been watching my poppy seeds crack open (harvested last fall) and show their tiny tails of root. (They're still soaking in a seed mix.) This weekend they'll move into their first container........yes, a cardboard egg carton........and then into a seed tray in my miniature greenhouse cabinet outside.
I don't plant inside. I've never had any luck doing it. My little plants always get spindly or hit by some wasting disease, so I either buy plants or sow seeds outside as soon as possible.
This is great. I can't wait to plant, but still too soon. Starting them inside doesn't work in this house. We always get a diseased plant. Great for fresh cut flowers, not seedlings. Makes me sick.
Yay for the sprouters. I am not a green thumb, so I am jealous of people that are. I have managed to keep a house plant alive though for about 2 years. My husband is in charge of the garden outside. I don't think he wants my black thumb near it.

And are you watering from top down or bottoms up?
