All of these photos are from this year? WOW...you are so lucky to have a blast of color so early in the year. I'm waiting for my roses to bud, and I have yet to plant all the flowers I want this year.

Katherine ~ I'll be honest. The second from the top is actually a "weed" in the yard. It's bloom was very small, but I had to get a picture of it. Doesn't look like a weed upon close inspection. The rest are basically from the parks in the area (Landmark Park and Botanical
Gardens). There will be more blooming at the Gardens later, but this was enough for me to get my "fix" right now.
I'm glad you enjoyed the essay. And thank you so much about the smoking. It is hard at times, but so far I haven't had a smoke and I do feel much better. I'm even gaining some weight :)
