Flat Traveler Report

Our Flat Traveler came from North Carolina and his name was Flat Will. He arrived tired and hungry (a long trip to Iowa!) We gave him a couple of days to rest up.

 

First off, Flat Will needed a leash...

 

 

 

 

We took him on a bike ride. He needed to stop at the "rest area".

 

 

 

I think he enjoyed the view from the river bridge...

Some interesting tracks down below, but I did NOT let Flat Will wander off to investigate them!

 

 

 

 

We have ridden to this bridge many times and NEVER noticed this railroad car half buried in the ground a ways from the bridge. Hubby took the camera to check it out...

You can see the bridge in the background.

 

We enjoyed hosting Flat Will in our town. I sent Emily a bit of info about our family and a number of brochures from the Chamber of Commerce here.

He got along fine with our cat, Tippy!

Diana, it is a school project..the travelers go out to different states and that way the kids learn about our country!

My son has a flat friend he brought from school too. I can tell you the flat friend is having much fun than i ever had.

How cool. I'd love to take some flat travelers to the Columbus Zoo next time I go, or hey just around my town. Flat travelers can go hiking this summer with us in Shawnee State Forest :0)
