I am inspired by so many people. I am a person who finds inspiration from all around. My parents become more of an inspiration the older I get. They were always the reason I wanted to go to college but now that I'm 24 I'm amazed at where they were at my age.

I can only stay for a few minutes because I'm off to another appointment this afternoon, but I am inspired by several people, including my husband, my mom, my dad, my sister and my grandma. They are all wonderful people, and they help me feel better about myself when I am down and they are always there for me in the good times and the bad.

I'm here.

Who are you most inspired by? Vets who make it home from the war after being wounded and who overcome obstacles in merging back into civilian life - I much admire Vietnam Vets especially.

Who do you view as leaders? Usually those who have earned my respect by serving "in the trenches" so to speak with the little guy. In voting, I often go for a someone with combat experience, where possible.

Who pushes you to be a harder worker in life? Probably my mother. She does it all. Hard worker, matriarch of her family line, worked hard all her life and raised two kids on her own.

My dad and sister are born leaders. My dad was an officer in the Marine Corps. and my sister is in the Air Force and has really done well in her career. She is a great person too and she encourages me to improve myself and my circumstances when I feel depressed.

Who are you most inspired by? people who don't let their disability stop them doing what they do to do in life. It really amazes me! I don't think I could do it

Who do you view as leaders? I look at some teachers as leaders.. the ones that are really really into teaching..and put their students futures first

Who pushes you to be a harder worker in life? I would say my kids... because they are the reason I want to go back to school. To give them a better life!

Who pushes you to be a harder worker in life?

My parents and my children. My parents have hit many hardships and still keep popping up! My daughters are always so pleased when I have a success. My son-in-law always makes a point to ask about my writing so I'm inspired to have something to tell him. My husband, told me I could write plays by myself and my writing friends are always there to encourage me.

Great questions.

Who do I view as leaders?

I agree with a lot of answers already. The first two women I was inspired by and thought of as the type of leader I wanted to be when I was a woman were Mother Teresa and Princess Diana. I respected that they gave so much of themselves to make the world a more peaceful and loving place. I read their quotes whenever I need inspiration and to remind myself that I can do something to improve my community.

I'm here. Now I'll try to answer the questions.

* Who are you most inspired by?
That would be my husband. We have always talked everything out, bounced ideas off each other (even the conflicting ones), and if anyone can inspire me to make changes or do something, it would be him.
* Who do you view as leaders?
To me, leaders are the people who receive respect because they have earned it. It's the people who march to their own drummer, but have the intelligence to make the rest understand why they believe as they do. I will add, that there are few people that I have either met or seen through the media that meet this criteria in my lifetime.
* Who pushes you to be a harder worker in life?
That would be my son. It might be strong maternal instinct, but I will move heaven and earth to meet his needs and desires (within reason) as I teach him to become the individual, strong, self assured man that he will need to become.

Who are you most inspired by? I am inspired by folks who are passionate and drive after that passion to find success with it. That might mean financial success, too, but certainly that's not how I define success.

Who do you view as leaders? Leaders do not operate in safe comfortable zones of space, but go beyond to reach out to others in need, meeting the needy in their space. Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter are leaders. Doctors without Borders are leaders. Girl Scout leaders are leaders.

Who pushes you to be a harder worker in life? My parents still push me by their example of continuing hard work and positivity. I'm 46, they're over a quarter of a century older than that.

Hi all
Here's the answers to the questions
Who are you most inspired by?
My mother and grandmother. My grandmother was bedridden her entire life yet she managed to raise a family of 12 children and run and entire household. She had faith that could move a mountain and always accomplish everything she set her mind to. My mother although not bedridden is much the same way - both of these ladies have inspired me my entire life and if I could be even a little like them I'd be proud!

Who do you view as leaders?
This is a tough one - something that I"d have to ponder a little.

Who pushes you to be a harder worker in life?
Myself and my family - everything I do is for the benefit of those I love so they keep me going.

I agree Bubbeh with regards to Former President Carter. He has done some amazing things since he left office.

Crystal - princess Diana - thats a great choice she really did wonderful things and she did not have to do them , her compassion was by choice which is the very best kind

Greeting to all sister Girl Scout. I have been a scout, was a leader for my daughters, and have just finished a stint as cookie "mother" for my granddaughter's Daisy troop. So I have been a Girl Scout over three generations. :o) Cool, eh? Or maybe just stubborn. . . .

Peter, that's a matter of opinion. But let's keep the politics out of the informal chat and be best buds, OK?

Katie, We have something more in common, I too was a Girl Scout Leader before I even married, I was the Leader of A Brownie troop from when I turned 18 till I was 25.

I agree, this is not the place for a political debate! We all have our own strong opinions on that subject!

April and Katie, shall we see about a Gather group for old (er) or "experienced" Girl Scouts?

I am inspired by my kids, my husband and my mom. To always stay strong and work hard. I have never looked up to movie stars. I think movie stars lives are worse off then a lot of people think.

Lol April, I had 'JUNIORS'! I was in my early 20's myself, so I guess it was my youth that they related to. It was a great time. I remember accompanying them to a 'cook off' and we went caroling at Christmas, and I had cookies and hot chocolate for them when we were done. It's a very pleasant memory for me.
