Small acheivements are the name of the game

This is what I see when I sign in:

Adelaide needs 34,400 total points for her laptop. She has this many left to go:33,501 - update status

Now that I have this huge goal of getting myself a laptop, it's going to be a good long while before I get there. To keep myself motivated, and to enjoy Gather as much as possible, I'll be enjoying the small acheivements.

For example, since I'm super-close to the hundreds column moving(ie from 33,501 to 33,400 something), I'm rather excited to see a new lower number. Like I said, small acheivements.

I can't imagine the excitement I'll have when I actually have enough points to order the laptop. I imagine I'll be writing about that for weeks. Until then, I'll just be enjoying Gather as much as I can and looking at that hundreds column to watch it go down.

Small achievements are wonderful . . . I live by 'small daily steps' with just about everything in my life. You'll get the new laptop in time and will enjoy your Gather friends along the way :)
