I do not have a basement and when it's raining alot

and water is running down the streets and flooding

yards, I'm glad that I don't.  I would be afraid that

the basement might leak at some time.  So I'm glad

that I don't have one.

We have a tiny cellar- just large enough for the furnace and water heater. The rest of the house is a crawl space.

We have a basement and our house is old enough that there are cracks in the cement floor. Water will come in through the cracks, but we can deal with it.

Yes I have a fully finished basement. We have a sump pump like most homes with basements do now a days so I am am not worried at all about water.

We have a basenent, but no leaks. Our house is built up on a rise, so it would be unusual if we had water. We do have a lake on our front lawn after heavy rainstorms though!

Basements are very rare around here. The front house on my property does have a cellar. It does end up with water sometimes during the monsoon rains because the street floods to a river with the water reaching the front porch, where the cellar starts.

We had one at our last house. It flooded the day after we bought the house. We waterproofed it and never again had a problem. We don't have a basement now and I'm glad. If we did, it would be full of stuff.

To basement here! Our house sits on a crawl space.

The rain has turned our lawn into a squishy sponge... having a basement would probably not be a good thing!

No basement, thank God! We do, however, have a tiny crawlspace, but it really doesn't account for anything.....I figure if we had a basement, we'd just be collecting more junk!!!!!

Mopped, pumped, shoveled, bailed out a lot of water. When friends come to visit, the kids beg to sleep in the basement. Love it as a place to put JUNK.

We have a basement. It flooded a couple of weeks ago, but that's not common. We had over 3 ft of snow in our yard and then it warmed up suddenly. That's the only time our basement has ever flooded, and we have heavy rains frequently.

Our basement isn't technically a finished basement, because it only has a concrete floor, it has real walls, a nice ceiling, a way to get out, etc, though.

I have a basement and everytime we have a hard rain, my basement does not leak, it FLOODS. But this is a rental house and I refuse to do anything about it.

Yes, I have a basement, yes it has leak if it rains to hard. It hasn't leak since I cover the drain pipe I found outside.

We lived in a basement off and on for 6yrs and yes it did flood a few times...Once from the water heater, once from a sewer problem, and about three times from rain BUT when those tornadoes came, we were glad to have it!

Yes, I have a basement. After a very serious rain, I have to do a bit of sweeping to get the water off the floor. My basement has never flooded.
