Just as I thought this day could not be any better, it just got to be one of the best days in a very long time. I know alot of you have been following along with the struggles I have had with Brianne. Well today at speech they have to give her a test to test her resceptive/expressive disorder. Now in order to pass they give have to have at least 85%. Well on her receptive test she got a 89. Expressive she got an 86. Now those numbers not seem like a big deal to most. Well when we started speech back in July she only at a 12 months old level.. those number put her up to a 2 year old almost 2 1/2. that means in about a year she has done a lot of progress almost a year and half growth. When I found this out I was so happy I actually cried. I am SO PROUD of Brianne. This is making me see there is a little brighter light at the end of the tunnel. IT has been a lot of hard work, but when they also told me I could mainstream her I was so excited. They also said they might be discharing her from speech in the next few months. Now there are still a few problem areas, and we are going to work on them, BUT I AM SO EXCITED.. I really need to hear this GREAT news today..

CONGRATS
Here they won't even test kids for speech problems until they are 3. One of my friends is having a lot of problems with that. Her 2.5 year old barely says anything, but she is supposed to wait until he's 3 to have him tested?
your friends kid should be ok, some kids are just slower than others, I would suggest if they arent going to a lot of places around other kids, that would be a good start and mom and dad need to talk WITH the baby not at the baby, so it has to answer them good luck!
