A Day for the Birds

I went for a long hike today, over to Sachuest Point, Sachuest Beach, and the salt marsh behind Third Beach. Not all the shots I took turned out well, but these three I can live with.

Very good photos. I know how hard it is to get a photo of little birdies that move often and quickly. These look like they should be in a birdiing book.
Even though they're birds, they're cool. You'd have a field day in my neck of the woods.

And even though it's a bird, I think kildeers look cool.

Beautiful. I had to call my daughter over and show her - I have a budding birdwatcher on my hands, there.

We filter through the hundreds of shots for 3 such as these...and still think of it as a good day. Photographers and "walkers" are a lot like fishermen, I think. We always think of the one shot that we KNEW was going to be great...and it turns out otherwise. Kind of like "the one that got away..."

These are great shots, Roy. Your eye is awesome.
