I have finally finished the project I've been working on for the last few months. But I'll have to continue with it, and need all the help I can get.
The primier issue of Terracotta Typewriter: a melamine-free literary publication is now available online in .pdf format. Check out the Issues page to download your copy of the literary journal.
Terracotta Typewriter: a cultural revolution of literature. Our Web site is http://www.tctype.com. This site is the creation of an American expatriate writer and editor in China who wanted a creative outlet for those with a connection to China.
We invite writers of all genres and forms to make the great leap forward and submit manuscripts that conform to our submission guidelines. We look forward to reading the creativity of the Middle Kingdom.
Terracotta Typewriter seeks submissions of literary works with a connection to China. The definition of “connection to China” can be stretched as much as an author sees fit. For example, expatriate writers living in China or who have lived in China, Chinese writers writing in English, translators of Chinese writing, works that are set in China, manuscripts covered in Chinese food (General Tso's chicken doesn't count), or anything else a creative mind can imagine as a connection to China.
We accept works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, translations, and reviews and interviews.
Please read our submission guidelines before sending manuscripts.
